This painting reminded me of the dark forests and lochs of Scotland. Snow covered mountains and yellow gorse. We spent Christmas in Scotland, hence the name.
An original mixed media painting using acrylic paint and oil pastel.
The artwork is built up using many different layers to create texture and interest. A process which develops and changes over several sessions, until I'm completely happy with the end result.
